Distinguish a missing menu entry from missing data

Our recommended order is to inspect Continue on the original computer, compare the demo menu if available, and confirm which operating-system user and Steam account you used. If the issue only appears on another device, note that as part of the report.

Replace the username placeholder with your Windows user. This is a player-reported location, not a developer-certified path or a file layout tested by this site. It does not establish macOS, Linux or Steam Deck locations.

If you find existing data there, keep a separate copy before changing it. Do not rename or replace files merely because their names look unfamiliar. This guide does not identify a specific file that can safely be deleted.

Cloud information

The same discussion links to Steam's remote storage page. You can inspect the information available to your own account and compare it with the original device.

That link is a way to investigate, not proof that a particular missing save was uploaded. Do not assume the cloud copy is newer or more complete without checking its available information.

Gather a useful report

Record the game version, the device where progress was created, the last day you remember, whether any Continue entries remain, and whether you switched accounts or computers. Include the symptom: empty menu, unexpected older progress, or an error opening a listed save.

No guaranteed recovery procedure has been verified from this thread. Preserve the only known copy and use the developer's support channel with those details before experimenting with overwrites.
