Your first priorities
Songs of Glimmerwick follows a student at a woodland academy. Its official description puts classes, character stories, gardening and exploration at the center of the adventure. Treat the opening as an introduction to those systems rather than a race to build the biggest farm.
Our suggested order is simple:
- Finish the supplies and enrollment objectives currently shown in your journal. The prologue checklist helps if a shop or item is holding you up.
- Follow the garden assignment before buying lots of seeds. Learn how selecting a tool differs from moving an item.
- Check your letters and calendar when a new day starts. Pick one class or character objective to follow next.
- Leave spare inventory space before heading into a new area. Keep items needed by active quests separate from things you intend to sell.
These are editorial priorities, not mandatory quest conditions. Your current journal and tutorials remain the best guide to the next required interaction.
Match the guide to the problem
If you cannot use a tool, start with controls, not a farming optimization guide. If your can is selected but nothing happens on a plant, the gardening guide separates watering from planting. If you are hunting for an axe, read magical woodcutting: that task uses a spell.
For music, distinguish practicing a melody from using a spell on a target. The developer's demo notes explicitly say the rhythm activity can be skipped. Do not spend your entire opening session trying to perfect every song before trying your next quest action.
Keep your first session manageable
Write down the objective you were following before switching to another character's request. When several systems are introduced together, returning to that one objective is usually more useful than buying every available item.
This site is researched from developer material and attributed community answers. It does not claim an independently played, complete quest walkthrough. Detailed pages flag older demo instructions so you can compare them with the prompts in your installed version.
