Use the song, rather than another tool

In the original Ghost Treasure discussion, a player tried a pickaxe and an axe at the rock. The accepted reply points to Alchemical Resonance, bought from the alchemist described as turning acorns into gold. The questioner thanked that answer. A separate song discussion confirms how to cast it when the usual Learn or Practice option appears to be missing.

This guide covers that rock-clue stage. It does not establish every earlier quest prerequisite or the final treasure reward.

Follow the reported sequence

  1. Read the interactable notebook or note in the cabin connected to the clue. Two original replies identify this as the step to check before seeking the song offer.
  2. Speak to the alchemist and ask about trying his song. One respondent reports paying 300 Gold Petals; treat this as their observed price, rather than a verified price for every build.
  3. Locate Alchemical Resonance in your songbook and pin it.
  4. Return to the stone indicated by the clue and play the pinned song there. The player who originally could not find Learn reported that pinning and playing solved their problem.

Use your journal's landmarks to identify the target. The original replies do not provide reliable coordinates or an unambiguous region name, so this page does not invent a map pin.

Why there is no Practice option

The official Version 1.03 notes explicitly name Alchemical Resonance as a song with only a short version. It has no rhythm-practice version to complete. A missing practice activity is therefore not, by itself, evidence that you failed to learn the song.

For the broader distinction between practice and world casting, see songs and spells.

If the stone still does not respond

One later participant still reported no response after pinning and playing. The thread does not resolve that case. The successful casting report supports the sequence above, but it cannot guarantee that every blocked quest state has the same cause.
