Search south of the shell house
For the Lighthouse Keeper's “darkest sea” clue, the clearest reported landmark is Mel's shell house, with the target water to its south or slightly southwest. Look for a dark circular area in the water.
The original questioner had been searching around the rescue island. They confirmed that the shell-house direction solved their location problem. A later discussion repeats the same clue and receives a separate answer pointing south of the house, also described there as Mel/Lusina's shell house.
A short search route
- Re-read the lighthouse objective so you know which clue you are following.
- Use the shell house as the landmark, then search the water south of it. The first answer adds slightly southwest as a more precise direction.
- Look for the dark circular water patch rather than assuming the earlier rescue island is the destination.
- Once you have found the patch, follow the action named by your current objective. These location replies do not establish the exact song or input sequence for every quest state.
The later reply describes approaching by boat and suggests earlier daylight for visibility. That is a player's viewing tip, not evidence of a required daytime quest condition.
Do I need a lantern or nighttime?
The original discussion contains a player who found the area at night with a lantern. Another player still could not solve the search with a lantern. Those reports do not establish a mandatory item or a guaranteed lantern fix.
The supported answer is the landmark and direction. If visibility is making the search difficult, changing the viewing conditions may help you spot the circle, but it should not be presented as a verified unlock requirement.
